You’re tired of going out into the cold, you’ve done all the winter sports you wanted to, but you still want to get out and about. That’s okay, because when you’re staying at Bonanza Camping Resort you’ve got access to a host of museums that are found throughout the area. In fact, there are just too many to recount here, so why don’t we just touch on a few.
Can You Believe It?
You may remember it as the weird show on television, but now you can see it in person. Visit Ripley’s Believe it or Not! You’ll find a host of different and unique items here. After visiting this Odditorium, you’ll be no stranger to shrunken heads, pictures from toaster crumbs, and barnyards full of 2 headed sheep.
You can also explore tunnels as you investigate King Tut. You’ll be entertained for an entire day with 3 floors of oddities in 11 themed galleries and over 200 artifacts.
A Darker Turn
If you’re interested in spending an afternoon investigating the darker impulses of humanity, why not visit the Museum of Historic Torture Devices. You may have seen this museum featured on the History Channel. Not good for children under the age of 12, but for those above, it can be an educating experience. Be sure to see the special exhibit on John Wayne Gacy, the Torture King of Chicago. They have handwritten notes, paintings and autographed memorabilia from this killer’s era.
